A Note From Gena
God is infinitely creative!
For the past 30+ years whether as a pastor, flight attendant, hairdresser, wife, mother or loyal friend I can see now how these life experiences shaped me into the Spiritual Director I am today. So far, I have learned the path is not predictable, and that God is often at work in ways we might not see on our own. Just as I listen deeply for the “voice” of God in my own life, I will be listening for it in yours. I believe our triune God communicates with us in a variety of creative ways and it brings me great joy to partner with the Spirit to help others discover and explore what that looks like in their life.
My desire is to help you put language to what is going on in your world and in your relationship with God. I want to help you learn to recognize and receive God’s love, which at times is not easy to do on our own. As you practice attuning to yourself and God, my hope is that you will feel more freedom to courageously respond to the invitations set before you.
Over the years, I have had so many opportunities to engage with a variety of people and their stories. I have developed a genuine curiosity for people and a deep desire to create spaces that are supportive rather than prescriptive. The unfolding of a person's sacred story in the presence of the Creator is forever AWE inspiring!
